Southern Cross' North Harbour Hospital are searching for  Anaesthetic Technicians and RNAAs, full time or part time, to join our dynamic theatre team.North Harbour offers a wide range of surgical services and post-operative care to around 6,500 patients each year. Our surgical specialities include General surgery, Gynaecology, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Urology, Otolaryngology and Robotics.

You will be an integral part of the team, providing critical support to the anaesthetist whilst delivering a safe anaesthetic for a wide range of procedures.

North Harbour Hospital has 8 operating theatres, a 14 bedded PACU, a modern well equipped day stay facility unit and a 70 bedded ward which includes a 4 bedded intermediate care facility (ICF). At North Harbour you will be given the opportunity to advance your surgical experience, our theatre nurses provide surgical assisting to our Consultants in the operating department.

To be successful you will ideally need:

  • To be a qualified Anaesthetic Technician/RNAA
  • Have previous Anaesthetic Technician/RNAA experience in a healthcare facility
  • Hold a qualification with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand as a certified Anaesthetic Technician or NZ registration and current APC/RNAA qualification
  • Proven ability to be able to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team
