Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Sterile Services Team Leader to join our Sterile Services Department and help drive excellence every day. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Sterile Science Technician who’s passionate about quality, safety, and bringing out the best in a high-performing team.
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll guide and support the Sterile Services team day-to-day, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMDs). You’ll be at the heart of operations—coordinating daily workflow, mentoring and developing staff, and upholding the high standards essential to supporting our busy surgical centre.
Working closely with theatre and the wider perioperative team, you will work hands-on with your team to keep instruments and equipment flowing smoothly and ready for surgery. You’ll also play a key role in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance activities, all while championing best practice in sterilising technology, infection prevention, and health and safety.
