Southern Cross Brightside Hospital in Epsom, Auckland has 33 in-patient beds and 6 day-stay chairs. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology.
Our hospital features an intermediate care facility, a specialised post-operative ward for patients with medical conditions or surgical issues that require an enhanced level of monitoring and care. The beds are equipped to support invasive monitoring, medical infusions, and a 24-hour monitoring service, with specialised nurses with the knowledge and skills to deliver a more sophisticated level of care as required.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you’ll be right at the heart of what keeps our hospital running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day supply chain operations, you will be receiving and storing stock, maintaining inventory accuracy and master data, and ensuring critical products are available exactly when and where they’re needed to support exceptional patient care.
Working across the full onsite supply chain, you’ll collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Manager and hospital teams to anticipate demand, resolve discrepancies, and prevent stock shortages before they happen. You’ll help drive smarter, more efficient ways of working, contribute to performance reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives, all while keeping the environment organised, compliant, and audit ready.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), permanent opportunity based at Southern Cross Brightside Hospital, ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-driven, and enjoys being part of a team that makes a real difference every day.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- 3+ years’ experience in inventory, supply chain, or warehousing environments where accuracy and pace are critical
- Proven experience using ERP systems to confidently manage inventory, replenishment, and data integrity
- Strong inventory control capability — healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential
- Exceptional attention to detail, balanced with the ability to see the bigger picture
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys investigating and resolving stock variances
- A practical, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset — you’re happy to jump in and get the work done
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with confidence in reporting and working with data
- A qualification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics, or a related discipline is desirable
- APICS certification or similar professional accreditation would be an advantage
