About the role:

We have a part-time or full-time position available for an experienced Surgical Ward Nurse (minimum 3 years including experience in an NZ surgical setting) who has an interest in adults and paediatrics to cover admitting, day-stay and ward areas to work rostered duties. Southern Cross' Gillies Hospital, located in Epsom, has been designed with a focus on short-stay surgery and family-centred care, with four theatres, a purpose-built day-stay facility and 20 inpatient beds with ensuite facilities. A centre of expertise for head and neck surgery and otolaryngology (ENT), it offers oral and maxillofacial, gynaecological, plastic and reconstructive and general paediatric surgery, backed up by friendly, highly professional nursing teams and systems designed to benefit patients of all ages.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be residing in New Zealand with a New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa
  • A current practising certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in surgical nursing essential
  • A genuine interest in both adult care and paediatrics
