Southern Cross Hospital - Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre
Newtown, Wellington

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurses to join our friendly team in our Theatres. We currently have fulltime and/or part time opportunities.

Our Theatres operate predominantly Monday to Friday. Current surgical specialties include Orthopedics (+ complex spine), General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, and Neurosurgery.

We pride ourselves on our teamwork, excellent patient care and providing both the resources and the environment for our staff to be their best. 

While we already have a great team, our growing business means we need more fantastic Nurses to join them.


To be successful you will need:

  • To be a registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be a real team player. Demonstrate a passion for Nursing.
  • Demonstrate competence in surgical nursing practice.
  • Practice in accordance with best practice, legal and ethical professional standards.
