Southern Cross Hospital Hamilton is a well-equipped private surgical hospital based in central Hamilton, proudly providing a wide range of surgical specialties to the wider Waikato community for many years. Our hospital has been extensively expanded and upgraded and now incorporates seven fully equipped operating theatres, 60 inpatient beds and a purpose-built Day Surgery Unit. These include routine investigations to complex surgery, with their expertise supported by caring, professional nursing teams.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Join our perioperative team as an Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA. We're seeking someone to complement our skilled team as our workloads continue to grow. If you bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, you'll thrive in our collaborative environment. Flexibility is key, as you'll be required to work rostered 10hr shifts with occasional overtime as well as participate in an on-call roster. No night shifts are required, but there's a possibility of weekend work occasionally. While you must be qualified in this field, we value the right attitude and commitment above all, so although extensive experience is preferred, we are also prepared to develop those new to the industry.   • To be a NZ Registered AT with a New Zealand Medical Sciences Council recognised Anaesthetic qualification or a Registered Nurse with a practicing certificate and a recognised NZ Anaesthetic qualification 
  • Current expertise in the knowledge and practice of Peri-operative Anaesthetic Technology 
  • Great interpersonal skills with a strong team ethic
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering quality care
