Southern Cross Invercargill Hospital is the southernmost private surgical hospital in the Southern Cross network, it is widely known and used by people throughout the Southland and Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas.

The hospital features advanced theatre systems, including robotic orthopaedic surgery.  Our highly skilled and caring team provide excellent care to 4200 patients per year.  Our elective surgical services include Breast; Endoscopy and Gastroenterology; General; Gynaecology; Ophthalmology; Oral and Maxillofacial; Orthopaedic; Ear Nose and Throat; and Urology surgery.

Southern Cross Healthcare, Invercargill, has part-time and full-time roles available, for the right candidate, for Registered Nurse positions.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, pro-active, and initiative driven team players who wants to enjoy a fantastic culture and work-life balance.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • An experienced Theatre NZ Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
  • 2-3 years' experience working in theatre (scrubbing, circulating and assisting) preferable, however we would support someone to learn
  • A team player with good organisational ability
  • PDRP Level 2, or working towards
  • A go-getter with excellent communication skills
  • Registered Nurses with Anaesthetic Assistant experience are encouraged to apply
