Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Treasury and Trust Accountant to join our Finance team at Southern Cross Healthcare. 

This role will divide its time between supporting both the Trust and helping to build out our treasury function.

  • Trust - Responsible for providing financial accounting support to the General Manager of the Southern Cross Trust (preparing month-end management accounts, preparation of annual operating budgets, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, etc.)
  • Treasury - Supporting the finance team with treasury related tasks to allow the business to effectively maximise cashflow (providing regular cash flow forecasting, monitoring, and optimising the net working capital, etc.)

  • Accounting degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in a financial accounting role in a medium to large sized business 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Strong Accounting and GL knowledge 
  • CAANZ qualified or working towards 
  • Experience with medium/large systems (i.e. Technology One, MS Dynamics, Oracles, SAP, JDE)
  • Ability to partner with non-finance colleagues 
  • Experience in cashflow forecasting would be desirable
