Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital is the only private surgical in-patient hospital on the Auckland’s North Shore. North Harbour Hospital has 8 Operating Rooms, a 14 bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a modern well-equipped day stay facility unit and a 70-bed ward which includes a 4 bed intermediate care facility (ICF). 

Surgical specialities include General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, Urology, Orthopaedic surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Urology, Otolaryngology and Robotic Surgery.  

In addition to the hospital, the broader North Shore campus is also home to a purpose-built endoscopy suite, on-site cardiology services, cancer care, pharmacy, sports medicine, radiology and more.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Southern Cross’ North Harbour Hospital is looking for an experienced Ward Clerk to join their fun, dynamic and professional team. 

We have a Peri-Anaesthesia Ward Clerk position available – Full time position working 40 hours. You will be working with an experienced management team and as such we require a ‘positive, can-do attitude', being adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of the business, as well as having excellent communication skills.

• Fabulous telephone manner with great interpersonal skills
• Proficient computing/typing and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Experience in using a patient management system/application in the surgical/peri-operative environment
• Able to manage prioritising a demanding workload
• Pride in your personal appearance
