Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital is the only private surgical in-patient hospital on the Auckland’s North Shore. North Harbour Hospital has 8 Operating Rooms, a 14 bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a modern well-equipped day stay facility unit and a 70-bed ward which includes a 4 bed intermediate care facility (ICF). 

Surgical specialities include General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, Urology, Orthopaedic surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Urology, Otolaryngology and Robotic Surgery.  

In addition to the hospital, the broader North Shore campus is also home to a purpose-built endoscopy suite, on-site cardiology services, cancer care, pharmacy, sports medicine, radiology and more.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic person to join our team as an Orderly. We have two (2) roles open for this position. This role is physically demanding, and a good level of physical fitness is necessary. The role requires the person to be able to multi-task and be able to prioritise workload as required. 

The scope of the role includes but is not restricted to safely moving patients beds around the hospital, monitoring stock levels and restocking, and cleaning assigned areas to ensure our Hospital services are delivered to a high standard. 

These roles are full time 40 hours/week.

• Previous experience within a Healthcare industry (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills and be a team player
• To be flexible/adaptable and to respond positively to the changing needs of the business
• Competent computer skills
