Peri-Anaesthesia Services Manager

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Peri-Anaesthesia Services Manager to join our New Plymouth team. This role will deliver and guide secure, appropriate, and high-quality nursing care that is both cost-effective and aligns with the patient's needs, medical staff requirements, and the overall business objectives, while adhering to relevant legislation. Our new Peri-Anaesthesia model will encompass pre-admission, admitting, PACU and daystay areas. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the introduction of a new model of care for the team.
As a leader within the Peri-Anaesthesia team, the successful candidate will exemplify leadership to ensure an elevated standard of care for all patients. This involves contributing to the quality and continuity of patient care through efficient workload management and fostering teamwork. Additionally, this role will focus on optimising the utilisation of Peri-Anaesthesia resources, minimising waste through strategic planning and coordination with the management team. This role will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the General Manager.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Registered Nurse in NZ with current practicing certificate
- A tertiary qualification in nursing, management, or related discipline or working towards
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Experience in PACU and surgical nursing
- PDRP Level 4 (Expert) or working towards
- Proven leadership experience and ability in operational management within a hospital environment
- Experience in the private healthcare sector would be desirable
