Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private surgical hospital and integrated, purpose-built specialist consulting centre. The hospital features day procedure facilities, five operating theatres, diagnostic technologies, and a modern intensive care unit – all of which allows the hospital to provide for the needs of a variety of patients, including those at higher-risk, given the increasing number of complex elective surgical procedures now performed in the private sector. 

Clinical services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, General surgery, Gynaecology and Urology.

First established in 1992, the hospital has seen significant additions and upgrades on the site over recent years. Further expansion is currently underway to add much-needed surgical capacity to the Wellington region and expand the core hospital services to also include a broader range of healthcare services.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is looking for a casual Registered Nurse to join our Ward and DayStay departments. You will be working with an experienced management team, to help make a valuable contribution to safe, appropriate, and quality patient/family centre patient care.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

• A NZ Registered Nurse with current APC
• Minimum of 2 years’ ward nursing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• A team player with good organizational ability
• Confident customer relation skills
