It includes five operating theatres, day procedure units, advanced diagnostics, and an intensive care unit—enabling care for a wide range of patients, including those undergoing complex elective surgeries. The hospital offers a broad spectrum of clinical services, including Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Colorectal surgery, Gynaecology, Neurophysiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, and Urology. Established in 1992, the hospital has undergone significant upgrades and is currently expanding to increase surgical capacity and broaden its healthcare offerings in the Wellington region.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As an Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centred care alongside Anaesthetists. Your clinical expertise ensures safe and effective support throughout all stages of anaesthetic procedures, while fostering a culturally sensitive environment that promotes patient safety, dignity, and wellbeing. Beyond the clinical scope, you’re a key team player—supporting broader hospital initiatives, nurturing strong relationships with patients, families, and medical professionals, and contributing to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and best practice. With a commitment to ongoing professional development, your work not only enhances patient outcomes but also strengthens the success of the wider healthcare team.
If you bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, you'll thrive in our collaborative environment.
