Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
This dynamic full-time role is the heartbeat of executive support, offering comprehensive administrative assistance to the General Manager (GM) and Hamilton Hospital Senior Leadership Team (SLT). From managing diaries, emails, and travel logistics to coordinating governance-level engagements and hospital-wide projects, it’s all about keeping operations smooth and strategic. You’ll be the go-to for meeting minutes, P&C admin, event management, organising catering and process improvements—always ready to adapt, influence change, and build strong relationships across the hospital and specialist teams.
With a “can-do” attitude and a knack for juggling priorities, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Whether it’s liaising with governance members and senior clinicians, optimizing travel arrangements, credit card reconciliations, or stepping in to support fellow admins, your role is pivotal in driving excellence and fostering a collaborative, high-morale culture. - Proven experience as a Personal or Executive Assistant, confidently supporting senior leaders with precision and professionalism.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools, with a knack for picking up new systems like BoardPro with ease.
- A sharp eye for detail and a drive for excellence—your work is always polished, precise, and purposeful.
- Proven experience in the health sector, bringing valuable insight and context to every task.
- A natural communicator—clear, confident, and collaborative in both written and verbal interactions.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to shifting priorities, you thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Fiercely loyal and professional, you’re a proactive team player who lifts others up and leads by example.
