Theatre Services Manager

Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital represents a fast-developing private healthcare campus on Auckland's North Shore. One of four Southern Cross wholly owned hospital sites in the Auckland region, the North Harbour campus includes the only private surgical in-patient hospital on the North Shore.

Within our campus is the Northern Clinic which is home to a range of specialist consulting suites and treatment centres including endoscopy, cardiology services, cancer care, sports medicine and radiology. 

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Theatre Services Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team at Southern Cross Healthcare. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, and requires some flexibility with hours to meet the dynamic needs of the perioperative service. The role offers a leading role within the hospital’s operational and clinical structure.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Manager, the Theatre Services Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and strategic oversight of our perioperative services.  You will ensure the delivery of a safe, efficient, and patient-centred service that reflects our commitment to clinical excellence and innovation

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Proven leadership experience in a perioperative environment (2+ Years)
  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong operational management skills, including experience with Capex, budgeting, and resource planning Hands-on experience with robotic-assisted surgery is a plus.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, management, or a related field.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and operational oversight.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative leadership style with a knack for team development and conflict resolution.
  • Confidence in engaging with staff at all levels and maintaining professional standards
