Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As our Facilities Manager, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our hospital operates seamlessly and safely every day. From managing refurbishments and expansions to maintaining critical building services and systems like HVAC, sterilisation, and energy use, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our facilities running efficiently. You’ll oversee contractors, coordinate maintenance and IQP compliance, and drive improvements that reduce non-clinical costs while enhancing service quality and sustainability.
As part of the Hospital Management Team, you’ll play a key role in strategic planning and performance - contributing to budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll ensure our buildings and assets meet all health, safety, and legislative standards, with robust systems in place for monitoring, reporting, and compliance. Your proactive leadership will keep operations cost-effective, future-focused, and aligned with patient and specialist needs.
You’ll also bring a strong focus on quality, safety, and people. You’ll lead by example, fostering a culture that values care, accountability, and excellence. From mentoring staff and supporting development to managing risks, incidents, and audits, you’ll ensure our facilities reflect the highest standards of performance and integrity - creating a safe and reliable environment where people and patients thrive.
