Supply Chain Manager

Southern Cross Brightside Hospital

Southern Cross Brightside Hospital is a modern private surgical hospital located in central Auckland. Originally established on its Auckland site in Epsom in the 1940s, Southern Cross Brightside Hospital was completely rebuilt to modern, high tech specifications and re-opened in 2000.

Brightside Hospital offers a wide range of surgical services and post-operative care to around 4,500 patients each year. This four-theatre hospital provides 43 in-patient beds and 6 day stay chairs, and has a staff of nearly 100.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As our Supply Chain Manager, you’ll take the lead in managing all onsite supply chain operations across the hospital — from the moment products arrive, through to their storage, movement, and use in clinical areas. You’ll ensure the right items are always available at the right time, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and safety across every stage of the process. With performance measures in place, you’ll drive a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee inventory management, inwards goods, and storage operations while ensuring all master data and barcode systems are maintained to the highest standard. You’ll lead key processes such as new product introduction, end-of-life management, and demand planning — balancing availability for procedures with minimal waste and cost. You’ll monitor stock accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and use insights to recommend smart adjustments that optimise efficiency and reduce aged or slow-moving stock.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll coach and inspire a capable supply chain team, ensuring they’re well trained, supported, and aligned with hospital goals. You’ll champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement while building strong partnerships across the hospital’s clinical and management teams. This is your opportunity to play a vital part in keeping our hospital running seamlessly — enabling exceptional patient care through a world-class supply chain.
