Dr Angela Cross

I am a gynaecologist trained in minimal access surgery. My interest areas include endometriosis/adenomyosis and pelvic pain. I underwent specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Auckland region and completed a fellowship for further training in minimal access surgery at St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney. I returned home to Auckland in 2018 and completed a year as Chief Resident/Gynaecology fellow at National Women’s Hospital, focussing on my interest areas.

In addition to my role at Omnicare, I am a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Middlemore Hospital. At Middlemore I have a particular interest in minimally invasive surgical approaches in the bariatric population group to optimise patient outcomes, including laparoscopic hysterectomy. I am competent in all aspects of general gynaecology including colposcopy and outpatient hysteroscopy. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring of future specialists and currently hold the O&G house officer supervision and teaching lead role at Middlemore. I am fluent in Korean, having spent my early years there before my family made New Zealand our permanent home more than 20 years ago.
