Michael has a keen interest in sports and a great deal of experience in the care of athletes at all levels, both in New Zealand and overseas.

With over 10 years’ experience in sports medicine, Michael specialises in knee and shoulder injuries and takes a particular interest in shoulder instability and anterior cruciate ligament and multi-ligament injuries of the knee.

In 2014, Michael was awarded the Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society Travelling Fellowship to the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

In 2018, Michael was chosen as the New Zealand representative for the prestigious ABC Travelling Fellowship to North America.

As well as a being a partner at UniSports Orthopaedics and Eastwood Orthopaedics, Michael is a consultant at Counties Manukau DHB.
