Another year of strong impact and delivering more for New Zealanders

At Southern Cross Healthcare, we're proud to reflect on an extraordinary year of delivering more care to more New Zealanders. During our 2025 financial year (1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025), we delivered care to more than 118,000 patients through our hospitals and endoscopy clinics; worked with 82,000+ allied health and rehabilitation clients; and delivered community-based health, mental health, and wellness services, to over 52,000 clients.

These achievements are a testament to the strength of our people, our partnerships, and our shared commitment to our vision: to help people live their best lives by reimagining healthcare.

Community health, workplace health, and mental health clients refers to clients of Southern Cross Wellness Partners who received vaccinations, health checks, occupational health monitoring, pre-employment medicals, mental health services, and CPR training.
  3. The Southern Cross Nursing Scholarship programme was delivered by Southern Cross Health Trust. There were 17 scholarships provided to AUT students for the 2025 academic year, and each first-year nursing student received a voucher worth approximately $300 to pay for nursing uniforms and shoes.
  4. The following entities in our network cared for 82,662* clients in FY25: Active+ and TBI Health. Allied health refers to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language, dietetics, social work, mental health and psychology, private clients and clients who access services through funding bodies such as ACC and insurance companies.
  5. Charitable surgical procedures refer to procedures where hospital costs are funded by Southern Cross Health Trust and Medical Specialists provide their services at no charge.
