At Southern Cross Healthcare, we're proud to reflect on an extraordinary year of delivering more care to more New Zealanders. During our 2026 financial year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026), we delivered care to more than 125,0001 patients through our hospitals and endoscopy clinics; worked with over 77,0004 allied health and rehabilitation clients; and delivered community-based health, mental health, and wellness services, to over 56,6003 clients. These achievements are a testament to the strength of our people, our partnerships, and our shared commitment to our vision: to help people live their best lives by reimagining healthcare. In 2025, Southern Cross Healthcare (SCH) achieved the highest Net Promoter Score (NPS) for inpatient services among multi-site providers in the Asia-Pacific region in Cemplicity's global benchmarking of patient surveys.   3. Southern Cross Wellness Partners Limited delivered services, or service vouchers, to over 56,600 community health, workplace health, and mental health clients. Community health, workplace health, and mental health clients refers to clients of Southern Cross Wellness Partners who received vaccinations, health checks, occupational health monitoring, pre-employment medicals, and mental health services. Client figures are based on service utilisation and referral data. Data may include duplicate individuals where more than one service type was accessed. Clients who received multiple services will be counted separately for each service provided. Data may also include multiple referrals (including self-referrals) for the same patient/client, and referral totals may include patients/clients who subsequently cancelled or did not proceed with the service.
  4. Active+ and TBI Health, who are part of the Southern Cross Healthcare network, cared for over 77,000 clients in FY26. Allied health refers to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, dietetics, social work, mental health and psychology services, including private clients and clients who access services through funding bodies such as ACC and insurance companies. Client figures are based on service utilisation and referral data: Individuals may be counted more than once where they accessed multiple service types or received services from both Active+ and TBI Health. Figures may also include multiple referrals (including self-referrals) for the same individual and individuals who were referred or booked for services but subsequently cancelled or did not proceed with treatment.
  5. Charitable surgical procedures are those where hospital costs and charitable specialist fees are funded by the Southern Cross Health Trust. Participating specialists provide their services at no charge or at a discounted rate.
  6. The Southern Cross Nursing Scholarship Programme, funded by the Southern Cross Health Trust, supported nursing students at Auckland University of Technology, University of Waikato, Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki, Whitireia and WelTec, Ara - Institute of Canterbury and Southern Institute of Technology. A total of 56 scholarship recipients received $5,000 per year towards course fees, a $500 weekly stipend during clinical placements, $500 annually to support their health and wellbeing, and coverage of the Nursing Council of New Zealand state examination fee. Additionally, first-year nursing students at these institutions received a $300 voucher to help cover the cost of nursing uniforms and footwear, and all students were offered a funded flu vaccination delivered by Southern Cross Wellness Partners.
