Celebrating a century of service and professional growth

In January 2025, Southern Cross New Plymouth Hospital has proudly recognised an incredible number of staff in their contributions towards healthcare.

Five team members celebrated employment anniversaries and their dedication to Southern Cross New Plymouth added up to over 100 years of service!
🌟 Melissa – Ward RN, 10 years
🌟 Susan – Anaesthetic Team Lead, 15 years
🌟 Carol – Ward RN & Health & Safety Rep, 20 years
🌟 Angela – Support Services Manager, 25 years
🌟 Sandie – Theatre Enrolled Nurse, an amazing 40 years!

Ten other staff were also acknowledged for development milestones including Professional Development and Recognition Programme competencies, ANCC Medical-Surgical Nursing board certification, and certification in Sterilising Technology.

Southern Cross New Plymouth Hospital has proudly served the Taranaki community for 41 years. We are deeply grateful to our amazing team, past and present, for their unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare.
