Auckland Surgical Centre is well known within the region for its unique and efficient approach to day-stay surgery, and was the first purpose-built short-stay hospital in the private sector in this country. Recent upgrades to procedure rooms, patient reception and patient treatment facilities and consulting areas have been made to improve patient flows and are tuned to the services offered by independent credentialled medical practitioners consulting and operating on the site.
Purpose built facilities
With a heritage in innovative short stay procedures and a leadership role in development of anaesthetic and pain management, Auckland Surgical Centre is constantly working to develop new facilities.
Our developments are designed to enhance our short stay and inpatient healthcare services, based on a 'centre of expertise' philosophy and support for credentialled practitioners from our high performance surgical nursing teams.
Our day stay areas are designed to comfortably meet the needs of patients admitted for procedures that do not require an overnight accommodation.
Advanced technologies
Significant expansion on site has allowed the hospital to accommodate 4 operating theatres, stage one recovery facilities, day-stay recovery areas, and a 17-bed overnight stay facility.
More recent upgrades to patient and consulting areas and facilities, including the consulting areas and facilities, including the patient reception area, have been completed.
