Southern Cross Brightside Hospital in Epsom, Auckland has 33 in-patient beds and 6 day-stay chairs. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology.
Our hospital features an intermediate care facility, a specialised post-operative ward for patients with medical conditions or surgical issues that require an enhanced level of monitoring and care. The beds are equipped to support invasive monitoring, medical infusions, and a 24-hour monitoring service, with specialised nurses with the knowledge and skills to deliver a more sophisticated level of care as required.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Southern Cross Brightside Hospital - Epsom, Auckland are looking for experienced Theatre Nurses to join us in our four theatre department, covering a variety of surgical specialties.
We are preferably looking for registered nurses wanting full-time positions, however we will consider part-time hours for the right candidate.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- To be a registered nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- To have excellent communication skills, and ideally a minimum of 24 months theatre nursing experience; preferred specialties include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General, Urology and Plastic.
- Experience with the Di Vinci robot would be great, but it is not a requirement as full training can be given
- To commit to continuous quality improvement and on-going education through professional development
- To practice in accordance with best practice, legal and ethical professional standards
