Theatre Services Manager - Wellington

Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private surgical hospital and integrated, purpose-built specialist consulting centre. The hospital features day procedure facilities, five operating theatres, diagnostic technologies, and a modern intensive care unit – all of which allows the hospital to provide for the needs of a variety of patients, including those at higher-risk, given the increasing number of complex elective surgical procedures now performed in the private sector.  

Clinical services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology through to vital Colorectal surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatric surgery, Neurophysiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Urology.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are currently searching for an experienced Theatre Services Manager to lead our theatre team. You will be part of the Senior Management Team and will actively support the General Manager to achieve the strategic goals of the hospital and build on a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. 

This position is responsible for the effective operational management of all theatre services, including the Sterile Services Department.

  • To have a New Zealand Nursing Registration with a current practicing certificate 
  • A minimum of 10 year’s post-registration/qualification experience in the healthcare setting (preferably in a surgical setting)
  • Demonstrable experience working in a challenging environment with a diverse team
  • “Can do" attitude
