Southern Cross Wellington Hospital
Anaesthetic Technician / RNAA
Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private surgical hospital and integrated, purpose-built specialist consulting centre. The hospital features day procedure facilities, five operating theatres, diagnostic technologies, and a modern intensive care unit – all of which allows the hospital to provide for the needs of a variety of patients, including those at higher-risk, given the increasing number of complex elective surgical procedures now performed in the private sector. Clinical services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology through to vital Colorectal surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatric surgery, Neurophysiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Urology.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As an Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA, you will be an integral part of delivering exceptional, patient-and whānau-centred care in partnership with Anaesthetists and the wider perioperative team. Your clinical expertise is critical in ensuring safe, seamless, and high-quality anaesthetic support, while upholding a culturally responsive environment that prioritises patient safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
Beyond the clinical scope, you’re a key team player—supporting broader hospital initiatives, nurturing strong relationships with patients, families, and medical professionals, and contributing to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and best practice. With a commitment to ongoing professional development, your work not only enhances patient outcomes but also strengthens the success of the wider healthcare team.
We are seeking someone with a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic who thrives in a collaborative environment. While relevant qualifications are essential, we value passion and commitment as much as experience and are proud to support ongoing development at every career stage. This is an opportunity to elevate your career, make a meaningful difference every day, and be recognised for the dedication you bring to patient care and team success.
