Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join our Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. This role involves working in an PACU clinical setting where patients benefit from coordinated, multidisciplinary care. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team that values collaboration, compassion, and clinical excellence.
As a PACU nurse, you’ll use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to deliver safe, evidence-based care through holistic assessment, planning, and evaluation. You’ll maintain high standards of documentation, support enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants, and foster a culturally safe environment that promotes patient wellbeing. Strong communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and medical specialists are key to achieving quality outcomes.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Current New Zealand Registered Nurse annual practising certificate
- Previous experience working in an Acute setting, ED, PACU or ICU is preferred
- A collaborative spirit and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Previous experience in private healthcare is an advantage
