Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private surgical hospital and integrated, purpose-built specialist consulting centre. Originally established in 1992, the hospital currently includes day procedure facilities, five operating theatres and a modern intensive care unit. Specialities at Southern Cross Wellington Hospital includes, but is not limited to, orthopaedic surgery, major spinal surgery, neurosurgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery, gynaecology, urology, and ophthalmology. We provide nourishing, quality meals for our patients and can cater for special dietary requirements on request.
Rooms
Rooms for overnight stay are air conditioned and have an ensuite, television, telephone, refrigerator, radio and tea/coffee making facilities.

We have a professional nursing team focused on providing a high standard of care and comfort during your stay.

Information for our younger patients

We encourage parents and carers to stay with their children in hospital. Please contact the hospital regarding availability of space and associated charges should you wish to stay overnight. If you would like to visit the hospital, to familiarise your child with the surroundings prior to admission, please contact the hospital.
Car parking
Due to ongoing building work, our patient and visitor car parking has changed. Details can be found on this map. We have dedicated free parking at Bowlarama and The National Dance and Drama School. These car parks are clearly marked for use by Southern Cross.

Robotics are tailored to enhance the performance and outcomes for surgeons and patients. We have worked closely in partnership with our credentialled medical practitioners to integrate this cutting-edge technology to ensure we deliver excellent experiences for both our surgeons and patients.
